PAR1 in Border cell migration
Par1 and Sgg are both serine/threonine kinase; they are also known to affect microtubule. We know from the previous publications that par1 is important for border cell migration. We are now working to understand if par1 is affecting border cell migration through microtubule together with sgg.
actin crosslinkers in protrusion
Not all the protrusions are same, especially true when one looks at them in live. Our lab is trying to understand the mechanisms that forms protrusions with special emphasis on singed. Although singed do not influence border cell migration, we think it does have redundant function. We are working to find what they are....
egg chamber rotation
This is the 'new frontier' for our lab. So far we have made eggs round and searching for pathways/mechanisms that are interesting.
